Schooled in the pool halls and card rooms of Toronto, Daniel Negreanu is a phenomenal poker player with a live tournament poker record to match. He’s experienced everything that a professional poker career can offer, seen the game explode and go global, and won more money than most people can ever dream of. He has one of the best World Series records of any player, and he has won more money than anyone else on the World Poker Tour. His World Series achievements began in 1998 when he became the youngest person at the time ever to win a coveted gold bracelet at just 23, taking down the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament for $169,460. He followed that with a second place in 2002, before his second bracelet win in 2003, when he won the SHOE event, taking $100,440 for the win. He also finished second in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em that year. The following year was a big one for Daniel. Those two wins on a high profile and televised tour cemented Daniel at the very top of the game, and he hasn’t looked back since, adding further World Series bracelets, tournament wins and final table appearances along the way. In 2009 he cashed more than any other player at the World Series, finishing in the money on eight occasions. After a runner-up finish at the WSOPE* Main Event, he also became the highest earning tournament player of all time.
